Manufacturing Process
Professional PVC fridge magnet production follows a precise workflow to ensure consistent quality:
1. Mold Engineering & 3D Artwork
Your design is converted into a 2D or 3D digital layout, and a CNC-machined metal mold is created to reproduce raised and recessed details.
2. Color Filling
Each mold cavity is filled with colored soft PVC. Complex designs use manual color filling, while high-volume orders use injection filling. Pantone matching ensures color accuracy.
3. Heat Curing
The filled mold is heated in a curing oven to stabilize the PVC structure, ensuring the magnet maintains its intended shape and thickness without warping.
4. Magnet Application
Factories apply different magnet options based on client needs: soft rubber sheet covering the full back, embedded black rigid magnets, or custom-cut magnetic backings.
5. Quality Assurance
Each magnet is inspected for color accuracy, smooth edges, proper hardness, magnet adhesion strength, and shape consistency across batches.
